The Experience board was a collection of sounds & samples designed to showcase the potential of the synths and expansion boards. This card contains various samples from existing boards plus new samples & sounds specifically for Experience III
“This is the third incarnation of the “Experience” series of Roland boards for the XP/JV series of synths. Again, it’s kind of strange that it’s called “97”, but comes after the first Experience board, which is called “99””

The Experience III expansion board includes:
- User-installable expansion board for expandable Roland synths (see compatibility guide below)
- Adds 100 patches and new waveforms
- Instruments include samples from the various SR-JV80 expansion boards produced to date
