1U stereo rack-mounted Shure preamps with output limiters. These are built in-house and combine a pair of FP11s in a rack case with switchable limiters & phantom power. Audio inputs & outputs are on the front panel for easy access
Each FP11 is a single-channel preamp with up to 84 dB gain switched in 6 dB steps. Like the Shure M267 preamp they have a switchable opto limiter in the output section which can be overdriven to produce compression & distortion
The FP11 sounds very like the Shure M267– which means you can go from relatively clean right through to full-blown distortion just by increasing the gain
The original FP11s were designed for use with mic-level signals. The rack-mounted versions have an additional unbalanced line-level input
