Yamaha E1005 Analog Delay #1

£175.00

Description

The Yamaha E1005 is a fairly rare analog, bucket-brigade BBD delay and is quite sought after. This example has a few miles under its belt and condition is best described as “used”. Despite this, it sounds great, and has been through our workshop

The E1005 tips over nicely into continuous feedback and, with a bit of level juggling, can create great rhythmic delays or swooping pitch-bent feedback spirals when the modulation section is employed. It’s a nice example of how good analog delays can sound and it’s always fun to work with

“The Yamaha E1005 is an amazing analog delay unit! This unit is so much more smooth and subtle than the more modern delay pedals I own. It blends with the instrument in an organic sort of way and doesn’t overpower the sound of the instrument itself. In long delay mode you get nice warm repeats with a lot of body that is almost reverb like. The long delay is only 400ms, and I wish it was a bit longer, but it still works well at this speed. Set up in Chorus mode it is again wonderfully warm and juicy without being harsh or overbearing”
