Vintage D-550 synth module – the rackmount version of the legendary D50

This D-550 has been refurbished with a new backup battery and display backlight. It has been reset to factory settings and the original presets relaoded via Sysex. The original 2-pin power socket has been replaced with an IEC socket and an earth connected. It’s in excellent condition, almost unmarked

This pair have been recapped & refurbished in our workshop and they’re ready to work. They’re switchable 100 / 120 / 220 volt so can be used worldwide

UREI 1178 Stereo Compressor

Two-channel version of the legendary 1176, the 1178 is another classic from the UREI stable. It’s closely related to the late, silver-face 1176LN models and sounds just like them. It’s primarily a stereo unit but can be used in A+B mode, when they share attack, release & ratio settings

I bought my first 1178 new in Nashville in the 1980s and it was my go-to compressor for many years. Nothing hits quite like a UREI FET compressor and that makes it a must-have for any compressor rack

Aligned, tested & supplied with a new set of XLR pigtails, this 1178 is ready to ship

Universal Audio 1176LN Compressor

Current model of the legendary 176, the UA 1176LN is a remake of one of the greatest compressor / limiters of all time

Like all previous versions of the 1176 it has a balanced output via an output transformer. The input is electronically-balanced like the last few versions of the original. From there it feeds the FET gain-reduction element, a make-up gain amplifier, a line amplifier and the output transformer

This 1176LN is in excellent condition with the typical surface discolouration of the aluminium case but an almost-unmarked front panel. Tested & raedy to compress!

Roland JD-990 Synth Module

The JD-990 was the final model in the JD series and was an enhanced version of the JD-800 keyboard. It features one SR-JV80 expansion slot plus PCM and Data card slots.

It predated the JV-series synths, but came with a better filter than the later synths. It’s the filter and improved sound quality of the JD-990 that make it desirable and sought-after

Deltalab Effectron – these are hard to find now in good working condition! Refurbished in our workshops, power supply recapped, tested & working well

One of my favourite delay lines, the Effectron has a quirky charm that makes it so much more entertaining than the typical Japanese digital delay.

Each session with an Effectron is an experiment, a voyage into the unknown. What happens when the modulation section is turned to maximum on a sampled sound? Probably not what you were expecting, but an inspiration nevertheless. Hail the Effectron!

Neumann KH120 Monitors

The KH120 punches well above its weight while delivering a smooth, flat sound packed with detail. If you hate shrill, peaky monitors these Neumanns will be a breath of fresh air – they’re smooth but still revealing
