Refurbished & recapped with Panasonic bipolar caps in the audio path and upgraded electrolytic caps in the power supply. Switched & pots have been cleaned and the units thoroughly tested
Rare Shure octave equaliser with transformers in & out. These are Class A, transistor units using precision capacitors to set EQ frequencies. They are ten-band, octave equalisers, so called as each band spans an octave
Fixed-frequency equalisers are somewhat out of fashion now but, in use, you’ll find they work vey effectively & target a frequency band that seems very natural and very musical
This pair is made up from two equalisers with close serial numbers which have been recapped in identical fashion
The EQ has a bypass switch but the signal still passes through the preamp section. The preamp has a gain pot and up to 20 dB of gain
The SR-107 is, like the FP11, M267 and FP42 preamp, from the Shure “Slept-on Classics Collection” where gems are unearthed, highly praised but then ignored because they don’t say Neve on the front panel
