Description
Rackmount TB303 clone from British company Control Synthesis. The Deep Bass Nine (DB9) is a close clone of the TB303 with a couple of neat twists. It has a CV /Gate convertor that can be used to control external synths from midi, and filter cut‑off can be controlled over MIDI from mod wheel commands.
CV / gate interfaces are via jack sockets and there’s an audio input which lets you use the filter section to process external audio

“The all-import Accent feature of the TB-303 is controlled here by MIDI note velocity – and turning up the Accent knob dials in how much it affects, not the volume of the note, but the filter’s frequency and loudness. There is a hidden Glide control, although this is more like a portamento that seems to add some extra release on the envelope.”
