Description
Rackmount four-voice multitimbral, twenty-four-voice synth with vocoder, arpeggiator, sequencer & effects. The Radias is the follow up to the excellent MS2000R synthj and moves the game on considerably
There are a few great demos on Youtube (check the Links tab for a few demos) and more in-depth information on the new features of the Radias. It has a similar layout to the MS2000R and it’s easy to find your way around. Editing & resaving presets is straightforward – all the front panel controls are live so it’s easy to jump right in
The more complex functions take a little learning but the advantage of having such a large set of dedicated controls is that editing starts immediately with no menu-diving required
There is an optional keyboard available for the module – the two together are the keyboard version
“Released in 2006, Korg’s Radias synth was the follow-up to the MS2000… It never seemed to quite gain the hype that it deserved though and they still seem to go under the radar… The capabilities of this thing are immense. 24 voices, four part multitimbral, two filters per timbre, per-part effects plus master effects, two 32-step sequencers (or one 64-step), arpeggiator, vocoder, drums, modulation sequencing, tons of knobs for hands on control… I could fill a page with all the stuff the thing can do”
“You can never go wrong with a Korg synth that has a ton of knobs and a ton of sounds. thought the RADIAS was just a newer version of the Korg MS2000, but boy was I wrong: vocoder, built-in effects, tons of great sounding editable presets. It’s on with this synth!”
“The Radias is more than a “straight synth” though, with some superb organs, EPs and other sounds you may not expect. Definitely 5 stars”
In excellent condition, almost unmarked. Comes with manual & original power supply. Photos show the synth for sale
