Vintage Oberheim Matrix 6R rackmount synth in excellent condition. Refurbished with a new backup battery, recapped power supply & CPU board and the latest Tauntek V2.15 firmware from Bob Grieb. Set to 220 Volts for the UK / EU
The Matrix 6R synth is the 3U rackmount version of the M6 keyboard. It’s a digitally-controlled analogue synth with six note polyphony. Each voice has two DCOs, two VCAs, three envelope generators, two LFOs, and two ramp generators as well as a low-pass filter
There is plenty of software support with sound editors & downloadable patches available online. These patches will work with the Matrix 6, 6R and Matrix 1000. Hardware editors are also available
Sonically, the Matrix 6 is classic Oberheim with a warm, bright sound that cuts through mixes well. The Matrix 6R was one of my favourite synths along with my Minimoog
