Description
Rare rackmount bass synth from Peavey. They might be an unusual company to produce a synth module, but Peavey was a huge company with many branches and extremely talented designers
The DPM Spectrum Bass is a 16-bit digital synth, with 8-note polyphony and 4-voice multitimbral
It’s a Sample & Synthesis unit using raw samples from a 1Mb ROM chip from the DPM3 synth. presets 1-14 are selectable from the front panel with the rest accessible via MIDI. There are with 200 presets
“Patches can be layered to create up to 4 layer sounds, giving the Spectrum Bass actually far more than the 200 presets in terms of bass sounds it can produce. There is a full synthesiser inside, with samples feeding the oscillators, digital resonant filters, digital amp & filter envelopes, LFO’s etc, but to access all that you need to go deep with MIDI Sysex”
In very good used condition. Includes original power supply & printed owner’s guide. Tested & working 100%. Photos show the synth for sale
