Sonab speakers were the creation of Erik Carlsson, a Swedish designer and acoustician. Carlsson researched the theory & practical application of omnidirectional speakers and produced numerous speakers to his own designs. Omni speakers fly in the face of accepted design practice and they have a presentation very unlike most speakers on the market. They are brilliant at creating a sound field in a room but lack the punch & detail of modern designs
The OA5 is from the middle of the Sonab range and uses a bass driver and four tweeters. This pair is finished in teak. The OA5 was the biggest-selling speaker in Sweden for many years
