My favourite of the 160 series, the 160XT has a balanced inputs & outputs on XLR connectors, in addition to the original jack connectors, making it easy to hook up in your studio. Many (including me) think it has more mojo than the 160A – it’s a potent weapon on drum tracks and surprisingly good on vocals. Just ignore the amount of compression shown on the LED meter – if it sounds good, it is good!
