For many people Lexicon is the definitive brand of digital reverb. Along with EMT, Lexicon dominated the market in the 1980s, with a range of devices from the PCM70 and Lexicon 200 to high-end units like the legendary 480L

Lexicon subsequently developed their own proprietary digital reverb processor, the Lexichip, which allowed them to build cheaper, more compact effects processors such as the LXP range

The LXP-15 was launched after the LXP-1, LXP-5 and MRC Midi Remote Controller. It contains elements of the 1 and 5 in one package

The LXP-15 is not just a reverb processor but combines reverb and effects programs. It has a wide variety of programs (see listing below). It has full Midi implementation which allows control of virtually all parameters. Lexicon dubs this “Dynamic Midi”

The LXP-15 is a two-input, two-output reverb & effects processor with a range of great halls, rooms, plates & reverb spaces. Built to the usual high Lexicon standard it sounds great nearly thirty years after launch

1U device suitable for mounting in a standard 19" rack

Tested, powers up OK. Passes audio OK, reverb works nicely & parameter editing works. Some strangeness with the output jacks & mono / stereo switching - when both output jacks are used one output is low level. Cosmetically extremely good. Photos do not show the item for sale
