Description
JHS-branded Analog delay line, one of the many Bucket Brigade Device (BBD) delays sold in the 1980s. They all follow a very similar design with a delay time pot – which works backwards – input level, output mix and feedback
Typically these delays sound great with feedback turned up to 100%, when twisting the delay pot causes spiralling feedback with pitch change. It’s a trick that never gets old as it sounds so great
For slap-back delays and general repeats these units are wonderful, with a lo-fi appeal that is always welcome. For longer delays, try adding a digital delay in series – it wil still sound analog
Tested & working 100%. In really tidy condition – unusual for this kind of delay as most have been thrown in a leads case, ridden hard and put away wet. Photos show the delay for sale
