Description

Another classic stomp box from my chorus pedal collection. I love effects pedals for mixing as they’re brutal & unsubtle and make you rethink your approach to mixing. Sometimes you have to resist the urge to be subtle!

Pedals work well on a send, or inserted into a channel, to give movement & width to an otherwise-boring signal. They are great on synth bass & pads, are quick & easy to use and can be tweaked in real time

Arion chorus pedals are amongst my favourites. They are early 80s pedals with a warm, deep chorusing effect and lots of adaptability. They predate digital delays and are , based on Bucket Brigade Delay (BBD) chips, which have a warmer, more analogue sound than digital choruses

The SCH-1 has controls for Rate, Depth and Tone plus a Direct / Stereo switch. The rate control has a huge range of adjustment, giving anything from a slow chorus to a wild Leslie effect. The Depth controls has a wide range and Tone adjusts the overal tone of the signal. Output 2 is switchable between the dry signal (Direct) and an antiphase effected signal (Stereo)

This is a rare, original SCH-1 designed in Japan. It’s one of the more sought-after chorus pedals

“The original Arion SCH-1 Chorus pedal is a legendary guitar accessory. Coming to prominence during the 1980s, the SCH-1 became a staple on many professional pedal boards. Known for its deep, lush chorus sounds and tonal versatility, the Arion SCH-1 secured its spot in stomp box history”

“The SCH-1 has been, for years, considered one of the best chorus pedals of all time. The slow speed/high intensity setting has one of the best slow Leslie-emulation sounds ever done in a pedal”

“SCH-1 Chorus, SFL-1 Flanger, SAD-1 Delay. All three of these are stellar pedals – highly recommended”

“A vintage classic for you here. Much loved by the LA session guys and for good reason. The Arion SCH-1 gives you that dripping wet chorus that was made famous in the 80’s. Possibly my all time fav chorus pedal”

This is a brilliant pedal – if you find one buy it”

Input & outputs are on mono jack sockets. Power is from an internal 9 Volt battery or external 9 VDC power supply (neither supplied) with a standard psu connector

In good, used condition with the usual scars & marks of a working pedal. Tested & working 100%. The clip for the battery compartment is intact, which is unusual
