Description
Quirky 12-Bit rackmount effects unit from Ibanez. In addition to the usual delay / reverb / flanger / phaser presets found on many units the HD1000 has a harmonizer section which offers lots of ways to bend, stretch & mangle sounds. It’s a fairly lo-fi unit but that’s a large part of the appeal
There are no shimmering Lexicon reverbs or crystal choruses to be found here – the Ibanez excels at more complex, twisted sounds & effects
Delay times can be doubled or quadrupled, giving great lo-fi repeats that sound nothing like the original signal. The harmonizer function is glitchy & fairly random, making it a great alternative to clean, predictable digital gear. You’ll find great sounds in this unit, sounds you didn’t expect
The HD1000 was also sold as a Maxon unit and was developed by Susumu Tamura, inventor of the Ibanez Tube Screamer
“Really beautiful, analog sounding digital delay with nice sounding modulation. Trippy, pitch bent “Harmonics” mode is super fun for experimental stuff”
“Ibanez HD-1000 (harmonics delay) – sooooooooo wierd and cool, cheap” – Gearslutz
In very good, used condition. Photos show the unit for sale
