Description
The M-One is a mid-range reverb / effects unit in a neat 1U box. It’s a twin-engine device so can process two signals at the same time. The engines can be used in parallel or as dual-mono with stereo outputs. Dual mono gives two separate effects, making the XL two effects units in one
The M-One has reverb, chorus and delay programs with more than twenty high-quality algorithms plus storage for 100 presets. It has a full Midi implementation with System Exclusive messages, program changes and real-time Continuous Controllers
The M-One has great connectivity:
- two channels of balanced analogue audio inputs & outputs on jack sockets
- SP/DIF digital in & out on phono connectors
- Midi in / out / thru on 5-pin DIN midi connectors
- Footswitch input on a jack socket
- Universal auto-switching mains power supply (100-240 VAC) with standard IEC connector
The M-One is ideal for use with a DAW, via the built-in SP/DIF digital ins & outs, allowing processing to stay in the digital domain
It’s equally at home in an analogue setup with professional balanced inputs & outputs on jack sockets. Inputs & outputs are stereo and processing can be stereo or split into two separate 1-in, 2-out effects
“M-One allows you to set the processor routing seperately and then assign any effect you want to each of the processors separately”
“The quality of the effects is just gorgeous, smooth, sweet and beautiful. The phaser is the BEST I have heard in a rack box at any price”
“Sonically, the M-One beats any of the reverb plug-ins on my desktop system”
“I have been using my M One for – oh – six or seven years now, and I still madly love it. I have a lot of other stuff right now, from Lex 960 SL to Sys 6000 TC, but I still use the MOne a LOT”
The M-One makes an interesting alternative to a Lexicon reverb / effects unit. With balanced connections plus SP/DIF digital i/o it’s easy to integrate it into an existing rig and, with hundreds of high quality presets and excellent editing facilities, it’s an effects unit that covers a lot of bases
