The Nucleus is an integrated DAW controller & audio interface which works as a control surface for your workstation. It has 16 “channels” each of which has a dedicated, touch-sensitive, moving fader, cut & solo buttons, a rotary encoder, level meter, three status switches and a display. A central monitoring section has input & output switching, two Super Analogue mic preamps, transport controls and a jog wheel
The Nucleus connects to your DAW via Midi and Ethernet. Setting up the Ethernet is a little complex for non-experts but it’s handled well in the manual and, once configured, won’t need touching again
Nucleus talks to connected DAW(s) over MCU, HUI and MIDI protocols so is useable with most DAWs and not tied to any single one. I recommend reading the excellent Sound on Sound review for a great overview of the hardware & software setup
