Hot on the heels of the SPX90 came the SPX50D, virtually identical but with an effects loop, front panel loop-through input for a guitar tuner and distortion as an added effect
Despite its age, the SPX is still full of great effects: Pitch Change C and Symphonic are legendary presets that are still used every day
This SPX50D is a rare survivor of the eighties – it’s basically unmarked, the rack ears are not bent and the front panel looks almost like new. The internal backup battery has been replaced and the unit reset to factory settings
