On the surface of it, the DPR-402 is a straightforward compressor / limiter. On the back panel, however, lies a terminal strip that gives access to all kinds of frequency-dependent trickery. If you want a Swiss Army Knife compressor, this is surely it!
In very good condition for a vintage unit, this DPR-402 has clearly seen action but doesn’t have the chipped edges, trashed front panel & broken switches most of them sport. It’s a late version with dbx VCAs and – in my opinion – sounds a lot cleaner than the early ones
