I’m a huge fan of the KH120, the original, aluminium-cased small Neumann monitor. So what’s the deal with its little brother, the KH80?
The KH80 is truly compact – only 233mm tall – and is housed in a tough polycarbonate cabinet. It has the usual superb Neumann fit & finish. The back panel has a combo XLR / Jack input, 2-core power inlet, power switch and EQ controls. It’s also configurable via an App
Despite its small dimensions this is a serious-sounding monitor. Sound-wise, it’s definitely in the same ballpark as the KH120 and KH310, only with less bass extension. To my surprise it’s a little clearer & better defined in the midrange than the KH120
